The Bottle That Changed My Life: Part 2

Me, holding my empty hCG bottleI cannot tell you how HAPPY I was to finally be able to resume eating breakfast last week (it’s been 5 weeks)!

Now that I’m in P3,  I’m tracking my daily calories based on my last dose weight (LDW) to make sure I maintain it until I begin another round of hCG. [Taking breaks between rounds is thought to be necessary to stabilize the weight, resist/prevent hCG immunity, and give the body a break from the very low calorie days (VLCDs).] What you’re trying to do is get your body to reset itself to remember this weight and not steer more than a few pounds away from it.  (So far so good, because I have actually stayed at or under my LDW in this first week on P3.) The Bottle That Changed My Life: Part 1

woman on scale in the bathroomThis post is about my personal experience as I come toward the finish line of Round 1, Phase 2 of the hCG diet, which I just learned about a month ago, even though it’s not some new fad.

The hCG Protocol

I believe that my body is the temple where the Holy Spirit dwells in me, but it’s been over a year since I treated it that way.  I rarely get manicures, massages, or even go to a professional to get my hair “done” these days. And I certainly haven’t been taking good care of my inner health, either.

Goal Call (May Edition)

Since my last goal call 2 months ago,  I’ve accomplished a lot.

Accepted!

I have submitted my book to a publisher and it was accepted! The editors at Brown Books Small Press were pleased with my manuscript and followed up with a publishing proposal, which I accepted. I have been requesting endorsements from friends, colleagues, and a few celebrities in the meantime. For those of you who don’t know, my book is a self-esteem/memoir book to empower teen girls to celebrate their uniqueness and use the good sense God gave them. It touches on aspects of every day life for them. Continue reading
